The Attraction Factor

One of the keys to success in business today, whether you are talking about network marketing, online marketing, or even real estate investing is attracting people to your business. Always remember, people buy into you before they buy into your business. So how do you attract people to you rather than you being the one chasing after people?

In this video, I’m going to share some very important information with you that I believe will make a tremendous difference in your business!

Alright, most of us have probably heard of the concept called Attraction Marketing. It’s the concept of putting value out in the marketplace that attracts the people that you are looking for to you. It’s a widely used concept by internet marketers, network marketers, and really any business that is wanting to grow in today’s internet world. In the past, this was done through word of mouth, the newspaper or magazines, or television, but with the internet, the opportunity is so much greater. Your audience can be worldwide.

So what are you doing to attract people to your business? It’s so important that you begin to think this way or I believe you will fall behind in this world of the internet. Here’s my suggestions of things that you must start doing for the sake of your business:

1) Become a person of value

You must first become the person you are trying to attract! When people see that you can bring value to them and that you are a valuable resource, they will want to be a part of what you are doing. It creates a fear of loss in them because they feel like they will miss out if they are not a part of what you are doing! People like to follow a leader who has proven his worth in his niche and who has proven results. Once you’ve accomplished that, you are then able to teach others and promise them the same results if they follow the system. It’s also important that you as a leader are continuously adding to your knowledge and your skills, which in turn raises your value. Leaders are learners and as you learn, you are able to share that value with your audience. Personally, I spend tens of thousands of dollars each year on personal development through courses, audios, books, conventions, Masterminds, and Private Coaching. Ray Higdon teaches ILT: Invest, Learn, Teach. This is a great way to share with your audience and attract the people that you’re looking for.

Remember, once people see the value that you can bring to them, including your credibility and authority in your niche, your success in building a business, or the return you can bring on their investment, it will be much easier for them to make a decision to join you. I love what Steve Martin once said, “Be so good that you can’t be ignored!”

2) Identify what problems people have in your niche

When you can identify problems in your niche and provide solutions, people will come to you for answers. How do you find out what problems people are having? Proper communication and caring. People really don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. If they see that you are arrogant and all about yourself, typically they don’t want anything to do with you, but if they see that you truly do care about their success, they will become a true fan. Communication has to be a two-way street. Create an emotional connection. When they see you’re a real person and can relate to you, they will then be willing to open up and communicate with you. Find out what they’re struggling with, find out what drives them, find out what they are wanting to change, find out what their ultimate goal is. These are their hot buttons and then you can give them what they want and hit their hot buttons! This works in your personal prospecting and team building as well.

3) Provide the answers and solutions to their problems

Once you know the struggles, roadblocks, hindrances, and problems, be the source of the solutions! In building my network marketing business, one of the biggest objections people have is TIME. Most people are extremely busy and can’t imagine adding anything else to their plate. I learned how to overcome that objection by telling them they get to leverage my time and I get to leverage their contacts! I became the solution for their lack of time. By putting valuable content out into the marketplace that solves problems in your niche through a blog, book/ebook, webinars, social media, masterminds, or public speaking, you become the magnet that attracts your target market. You essentially become the expert.

4) Build trust

Always be a person of your word. Do what you say you are going to do. My team always knows that if I say I am going to do something, they can take it to the bank. Word spreads. Your trustworthiness goes before you and people find out very quickly whether you are a person of your word or not. People are automatically drawn to someone they feel they can trust.

5) Be consistent!

Understand, even God is turned off by someone who is lukewarm! He said, “I would rather you be HOT or COLD.” So once you decide, make a long-term commitment and stay consistent. Consistency shows dependability. When people know they can depend on you to always bring you’re A game, they will be more inclined to plug into what you are doing!  This applies to everything we do in business and in life.
